Each Lesson has graphic organizers to lead guided reading for students to keep in red folder to use to study with. Lessons also have Explain and/or Elaborate Activities then students will take an open book/note quiz. All these notes, activities, and quizzes will prepare for the chapter TEST. Please keep all these item in folder until the chapter test in graded and gone over.
Quizzes!!! I let students take twice and averaged the two scores together..I also give 5 bonus points if they made a 100 on the first try....also, give 5 bonus points if they tried it twice after restudying the suggested resources for each missed questions. Quizzes are a stepping stone to check skill so far, and I feel students should be given an opportunity to learn from missed questions(skills) before the chapter test.
Chapter tests....students will NOT be able to use book/notes....all skills need to be learned by this point. Students will only take these once and that will be the grade....
Students should review all completed assignments on their Discovery Education and review with the online practice assessment before the chapter test.
